Chess for kids at Blue Hill Library

BLUE HILL — Kids of all ages are invited to come play chess on the Blue Hill Public Library lawn on Friday, June 25, at 3 p.m. Brooksville resident Tom Batt will be on hand to teach beginners how to play chess, while more experienced players can jump right in and play. Participants of all experience levels are welcome.

Batt is an English professor at Maine Maritime Academy and a chess enthusiast. The library will provide chessboards, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event sponsored by the library.
