BAR HARBOR — Charter commission head Jill Goldthwait met with the town council on Tuesday in preparation for a vote next June on several pages of proposed changes to the town’s charter.
The council directed town staff members to prepare an order for the council’s next meeting so the questions can be put on the local referendum ballot.
Still to be debated by the council is whether a proposal to change the size of the board from seven to five members will be a separate question in June. The charter commission voted 5-4 not to recommend that change.
