TREMONT — Selectmen are looking for the town’s oldest citizen in order to preserve the century-old tradition of having that person hold the Boston Post cane.
The most recent holder of the cane, Elwood Banfill, passed away in June at the age of 103.
To suggest a possible candidate for the cane, call the town office at 244-7204.
