Cancer Support Center of Maine Starts Fund-raising Campaign

BANGOR — The Bucksport-based Cancer Support Center of Maine will hold a benefit wine tasting at the Bangor Y Second Street, Isaac Farrah Mansion on Thursday, July 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event is hosted by Wicked Wines, State Street Wine Cellar and Frank’s Bake Shop. Hors d’oeuvres, wine and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided.

Tickets are $25 and are available at State Street Wine Cellars and Frank’s Bake Shop in Bangor as well as at BookStacks and the Cancer Support Center in Bucksport.

The center is a nonprofit organization that offers emotional support, referral services, educational outreach and advocacy for cancer patients and their families.

The wine tasting is part of the center’s We Can Help — You Can Help campaign, which aims to raise $100,000 for a direct client service fund.
