BUCKSPORT — The Cancer Support Center of Maine is hosting two upcoming fund-raising events.
The first will be Saturday, Jan. 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at MacLeod’s Restaurant on Main Street in Bucksport. For $10, guests can sample a selection of wines and appetizers while listening to a live band.
On Feb. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m., the center will celebrate its first year as a nonprofit at the center’s offices at the corner of Main and Third streets in Bucksport. Again, guests can take part in wine and appetizers for just $10.
At 5 p.m., George Marshall of Orland will kick off the event and blow out the candle on a birthday cake.
