Cancer Ride Slated For July 30



BLUE HILL — The first annual Thomas E. Astbury Memorial Ride is scheduled for Saturday, July 30.

The motorcycle and car ride for cancer, which will benefit Hancock County Homecare & Hospice and the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center, will depart at 9 a.m. from the parking lot of the Tradewinds Marketplace in Blue Hill.

The four-hour ride will then proceed to Bucksport, Searsport, through to Bangor, and back to Blue Hill, ending at the home of Walter Saunders and Carla Heath.

There will then be an afternoon barbecue with music.

Registration is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in the Tradewinds parking lot.

The cost is $15 for the ride and $25 for the ride and barbecue.
