SURRY — The Surry Community Improvement Association is sponsoring two informational meetings on Surry’s proposed budget for the next fiscal year.
At the first meeting on Monday, April 4, highlights of the school budget will be presented. School administration officials and members of the School Committee will be on hand to answer questions.
On the following Monday, April 11, the selectmen will present the town budget.
In addition, Steve Bemiss and Valerie Moon, the two candidates running for the open seat on the Board of Selectmen, will describe their reasons for seeking office and be available to answer questions.
Both meetings will be held at the Surry Civic Center in the Surry School at 7 p.m. This is an opportunity for all Surry residents to familiarize themselves with the school and town budgets before voting on the warrant articles at the annual Town Meeting April 25.
All residents are encouraged to attend.
