BLUE HILL — A Blue Hill man caught two men burglarizing a vehicle in his yard at 2:40 a.m. Thursday and detained one until Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies arrived.
Deputy Ben Astbury arrested the man who had been detained, Daniel Smith, 28, of Blue Hill, on charges of burglary of a motor vehicle and criminal trespass.
Later in the morning, police located his companion, Clancey Curtis, 29, of Blue Hill, who was also charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and criminal trespass.
