Birding program at Schoodic Institute

WINTER HARBOR — All are welcome to join Schoodic Institute’s Director of Bird Ecology Seth Benz for “Schoodic Birding Hot Spots” on Thursday, Oct. 31, from noon-3 p.m.

Join fellow birders for a hot, hearty lunch at Schooner Commons followed by an afternoon birding field trip.

The trip is designed to track the arrival, presence and movements of early winter birdlife along the Schoodic auto loop hot spots.

Help document the birds while learning identification tips, species updates and conservation news.

Park at the north parking lot and meet at Schooner Commons beginning with lunch. Dress for the weather. Bring binoculars. Spotting scopes will be provided.

The cost is $25, including lunch.
