Benefit Supper In Aurora May 21

AURORA — The Friends of the Free Baptist Church of Great Pond will be serving a spaghetti supper on Saturday, May 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Airline Community School in Aurora. The group, a nonprofit organization, has been notified that the Belvedere Fund for Historic Preservation of the Maine Community Foundation has approved a grant for work on the foundation of the old church building.

This is a matching grant, and the group is working to raise matching funds to secure the funds.

The supper is the first of a planned series of events to meet that goal.

The supper is being served in conjunction with The Wildwoods Band and Potpourri Music Spring Fest, a two-day country music event sponsored by the Downeast Maine Country Music Association to raise funds for that organization.
