BAR HARBOR — Mainers for Fair Bear Hunting will hold a public meeting to discuss current issues affecting Maine’s animals, including the upcoming bear referendum and how you can help advocate for animals. The meeting will be held at Jesup Memorial Library, 34 Mount Desert St., on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 10:30 a.m.
The discussion will include tips for making a difference for animals in Maine. If you’re concerned about puppy mills, wildlife protection, farm animals or creating a more compassionate Maine, attend the meeting to learn about how you can help, organizers said.
