BAR HARBOR — Canine friends will help raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer at the second annual Bark for Life of Hancock County, a 1.5-mile noncompetitive walk hosted by the American Cancer Society.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29, at Hadley’s Point Campground in Bar Harbor from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to the scenic walk, the event will feature a variety of fun activities for dogs and owners alike, such as a training demonstration, an owner/dog look-a-like contest, an agility course, therapy dogs and more.
There will also be prizes for the top fund-raising dogs.
Registration is $30 per person, which includes one or two canines under the owner’s care.
