Appeal Reconsideration Gets the Thumbs-down

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A request to reconsider an appeal of the code enforcement officer’s decision regarding Gatsby’s restaurant has died for lack of a motion.

Bob Bosserman, who owns property abutting the Seawall Road restaurant, was requesting that the board of appeals reconsider its Feb. 10 decision to deny his appeal of a permit issued for the restaurant by code enforcement officer Don Lagrange. At that same meeting, the appeals board also turned down two other appeals filed by Mr. Bosserman regarding the restaurant.

Gatsby’s, which owner Charlotte Gill describes as a “piano bar,” opened in February in the former Seaweed Café building.
