Animal House

TRENTON — The SPCA of Hancock County invites you to participate in a creative winter focus – animal houses.

Professional and amateur builders are asked to help raise funds for the animals in our region. Everyone interested is invited to build and donate animal houses of all shapes and sizes – bird houses, cat condos, chicken coops, goat sheds, and horse shelters – to benefit the SPCA of Hancock County. Educational materials will be attached to each house, describing basic details on how to care for pets.

The animal houses will be featured for sale at the second annual SPCA Pet Show & Fair ‘Animal House Sale’ on Sunday, Aug. 22, in Northeast Harbor. A select few will be featured at the fourth annual benefit Fur Ball Dinner and Auction on Friday, July 9.

All sales will assist the SPCA in generating funds to support its new shelter, scheduled for completion in the spring of 2010.
