Afternoon Teas At Woodlawn

ELLSWORTH — A longstanding tradition of Wednesday afternoon teas and tours continues at Woodlawn Museum (also know as the Black House) this summer.

This year teas are scheduled for July 8, 15, 22 and 29 and Aug. 5, 19  and 26 at 3 p.m.

The cost is $20 per person ($18 for museum members) and includes a viewing of the museum. Reservations for all of the afternoon teas are required and can be made by calling 667-8671.

A special afternoon tea and lecture will be held on Friday, Aug. 14, at 3 p.m. during the Ellsworth Antiques Show at Woodlawn presented by Prentiss and Carlisle.

Woodlawn’s executive director, Joshua C. Torrance, will present a lecture titled “Woodlawn Through the Eyes of Emily Bush, noted 20th century Photographer and Lecturer.”

Cost for the special tea is $25 per person ($22 for members) and includes admission to the show and a viewing of the museum.
