Adult Reading Program Starting

ELLSWORTH — “Water Your Mind — READ” is the theme of this summer’s adult reading program at the Ellsworth Public Library.

The program is open to adults and will overlap the children’s program titled “Make a Splash — READ!”

The program will run from June 12 until Aug. 11.

Registration begins on June 12, with the visit of Sarah Graves; local author of “Home Repair is Homicide.” She will be featuring her new book, “Crawl Space.”

On July 1 at 6 p.m., the book group will be discussing “Beachcombing for a Shipwrecked God” by Joe Coomer.

Those interested in participating should sign up at the circulation desk. Participants will be given a suggested genre list and reading log. The objective is for participants to read books that they may not have otherwise tried.

Anyone completing five books from five different genres, (this can include nonfiction) can submit the titles with their name and phone number and receive a coupon for five free books at the next Friends of the Library book sale, which is scheduled for Aug. 12-14.
