Acadia Senior College Talk Set

BAR HARBOR — Do Americans have a right to a college education? What are public perceptions of financing higher education? Daniel Poteet will address these issues at the Acadia Senior College Food For Thought program on Friday, Oct. 28, at Birch Bay Village in Hulls Cove.

The title of his talk is “Can Higher Education Continue as We Know it?”

Poteet’s talk will help to dispel some myths about American colleges’ programming and economics, while acknowledging the quality and diversity offered.

Poteet is a graduate of Harvard and holds a Ph.D. in medieval English literature from the University of Illinois.

The hot buffet lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and costs $10.50. The lecture is from noon to 1 p.m.

Reservations are required and may be made by contacting the Acadia Senior College office at 288-9500.
