Acadia Pride Day Set for Nov. 7

ACADIA NAT’L PARK — Saturday, Nov. 7, is Take Pride in Acadia Day at Acadia National Park.


The event will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Leaf-rakers are needed to clean out drainage ways and prepare Acadia’s 44 miles of historic carriage roads for winter.

A free chili, cornbread and cider lunch follows the morning’s work.

Contact Terry Begley to register by Nov. 4 for a free T-shirt. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves, water, a rake, if they have one, and should be sure to dress appropriately.
