Feast for the senses

ELLSWORTH — All roads converged at the Ramada Inn Saturday night for the block party-themed Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital Chefs’ Gala. More than 425 guests gathered to sample delicacies prepared and served by area chefs (below left) and dance the night away to music by Wavelength (below right). The event, sponsored by Camden National Bank, raised more than $60,000 to support breast care services at the hospital, including mammography scholarships for those who lack insurance or have high deductibles. “Every dollar raised at the event stays right here in Ellsworth to support patient care,” said Hospital President John Ronan. Participating chefs and restaurants included Chipper’s Restaurant & Catering, Aroma Joe’s, Bar Harbor Catering, Big Cat’s Catering, Dorr Lobster, Dragon Fire Pizza, Finn’s Irish Pub, Flexit Café & Bakery, Governor’s, The Grand, Nostrano-Frankie’s BBQ, Momo’s Cheesecakes, Morton’s Moo Ice Cream, Provender Kitchen & Bar and The Turtle.
