ELLSWORTH — Five municipal seats are up for grabs in this year’s election, including two on the City Council, one on the Ellsworth School Board and two on the Ellsworth Public Library Board of Trustees.
Any residents wishing to run must collect between 50 and 100 signatures to get his or her name on the ballot.
The terms of city councilors Steve Beathem and Robert Crosthwaite are expiring, as is that of School Board member Kelly McKenney and those of library trustees Jane McLetchie and Ronald Fortier.
Nomination papers are available at City Hall for each of the three-year terms. Papers must be returned by Friday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m.
Election Day falls on Tuesday, Nov. 6, this year.
