City candidates forum is Oct. 22



ELLSWORTH — Five candidates running for three seats on the City Council will gather in a public forum Tuesday, Oct. 22, as part of the Heart of Ellsworth 2019 Community Conversations series. Meet the Candidates will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. in the former J&B Atlantic Building, 142 Main St., in downtown Ellsworth. The program is open to the public, free of charge.

The October conversation will include five candidates: incumbent Marc Blanchette; first-time candidates Edward Kamin III, Michelle Kaplan and Robert Miller and second-time candidate Gene Lyons. Additionally, two candidates running for seats on the Ellsworth School Board, Jennifer Alexander and Paul Markosian, will participate.

The mission of Heart of Ellsworth is to promote economic, artistic, cultural, educational, historical and environmental activities in the downtown area to provide a vibrant community for all residents, businesses, nonprofit organizations and local government.
