Winter Harbor Police log week of September 15

WINTER HARBOR — Debra Gerrish, age 60 of Winter Harbor, was arrested by Officer Eli Brown on Sept. 2 on a warrant charging fraud. Police said Gerrish is being accused of deceptive business practices and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. Gouldsboro Police assisted with the arrest.

Bail check

Brown performed a bail check alongside Gouldsboro Police at a residence in Gouldsboro on Aug. 29. Police did not find the subject of the bail check at the residence.


Brown handled two trespassing calls on Sept 4. The first incident occurred on Main Street, but the subject had left of their own accord by the time the officer arrived. The second incident occurred on Hillcrest Drive, where Brown warned the trespasser not to return to the property.

Domestic call

An abandoned 911 call was received from a landline on Hillcrest Drive on Sept. 5. Brown responded to the call location, where it appeared that a grandson had an argument with his grandmother, but no assault had taken place.

Disorderly conduct

Richard Towle Whitten, 47, of South Portland was summoned on a charge of disorderly conduct Sept. 7. Police said there were reports of Whitten behaving belligerently and accosting others at the former Winter Harbor Marina.
