SOUTHWEST HARBOR — There are several events on tap for the Mount Desert Island Community Sailing Center.
First up is a presentation by Phyllis Aschenbrenner and Tom Perkins about their transatlantic race aboard the trimaran Heart. The show is scheduled for the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor on Fri. Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. There will be light snacks available. A requested minimum donation of $5 benefits the sailing center.
On Feb. 26 the center will host its second annual indoor remote-controlled sailing regatta at the Mount Desert Island YMCA pool in Bar Harbor. The regatta will begin at 6 p.m.
The center will host its annual fund-raiser dinner at the Red Sky restaurant in Southwest Harbor on March 4 beginning at 6 p.m.
