Lobster boat submerged in Naskeag Harbor

BROOKLIN — A lobster vessel was submerged by the incoming tide Wednesday afternoon after running aground near Naskeag Point, according to the Marine Patrol.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. when, according to the Marine Patrol, Carl Gray, 45, of Sedgwick hit a ledge in Naskeag Harbor with a a 36-foot fishing vessel. The boat eventually ran aground near the boat launch at Naskeag Point and then became submerged in the incoming tide.

Gray was transported to a nearby hospital by another fisherman.
