BAR HARBOR — Sometime during the early morning hours of July 7, a sprinkler system in the Carmen Verandah building on Main Street broke, cascading untold amounts of water into the Natural History Center.
The flood caused extensive damage to the interior of the shop.
Even worse, shop owners Natalie Springuel and Rich McDonald said, they have lost an entire week of sales and walk-in nature tour customers.
The pair is encouraging local business owners and the public to help get the word out that they are open for tours.
