Trenton paving planned this summer

TRENTON — The Maine Department of Transportation plans to pave a 2.07-mile portion of Route 3 near the Ellsworth town line this summer.

A drainage improvement project also will take place as part of the project. The work is scheduled to begin in mid-July and finish in early September.

All work will occur Sunday nights through Friday mornings. Alternating one-way traffic lane closures are scheduled from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., according to the DOT. The project has an estimated $565,000 cost.
