ELLSWORTH — Several Hancock County towns will hold their annual elections and town meetings in coming weeks.
The schedule includes:
Elections on Friday, March 25.
Noon-7 p.m. at the Franklin Community Center.
Contested race: Renee Trust and incumbent Roy Gott are running for a three-year term on the School Board.
Open meeting convenes Saturday, March 26, at noon, Franklin Community Center.
Town Meeting will be March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Verona Island Town Hall.
Elections on Friday, April 1, 9 a.m.–8 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Open meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. April 2 at the Blue Hill Consolidated School gymnasium.
Contested races: There are three candidates, Jim Dow, Butler Smythe and Rebecca Wentworth, for two three-year terms on the Select Board. Also, two candidates are running for a two-year seat on the board. They are Sean Dooley and James Wootten.
Elections on Friday, April 1.
Town Meeting is Saturday, April 2, at 9 a.m. at the school gym.
Elections on Monday, May 9, 1-7 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Town Meeting is Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hancock Grammar School.
Town Meeting has been postponed until May 23 at 7 p.m., location to be determined.
