Town manager post draws 50 applicants in Bucksport

BUCKSPORT — If job applications are any indication, serving as the town manager in this riverfront mill community is an appealing idea.

Town Clerk Kathy Downes said Tuesday that 50 applications were received for the town manager’s post, which became vacant with the resignation of Michael Brennan in early January.

The deadline for applications was Feb. 14.

The Town Council is now set to meet Friday, Feb. 21, at 4 p.m. in a closed-door session to review those applications.
