Tinker Island’s Only House is Sold

TREMONT — The only home on 430-acre Tinker Island in Blue Hill Bay has been sold to company called Tinker Island LLC.

Story Litchfield, a real estate broker with LandVest in Northeast Harbor, confirmed the sale this week.

Pritam Singh and his wife, Ann Johnston, sold the property to the limited liability company. The Tinker Island property consists of a 10-year-old, three-bedroom home on about 200 acres of land with a boathouse, dock and stocked trout pond.

According to Tremont’s assessor and code enforcement officer, Carl Young, the property sold on May 26 for $2.64 million. All but about 12 acres of the property is in a conservation easement held by Maine Coast Heritage Trust, which owns the remainder of the island.
