‘Timber’ Tina to promote Maine in NYC

TRENTON — “Timber” Tina Scheer and her lumberjacks and jills will show off their logging skills and promote Maine this weekend, Jan. 19-20, at The New York Times Travel Show Jan. 19-20 in New York City.

“Timber” Tina and crew are part of the Maine Office of Tourism’s contingent that will occupy Booth 149 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Manhattan.

‘Timber” Tina, who started log-rolling when she was 7 in Hayward, Wis., started The Great Maine Lumberjack Show in 1997 on Route 3 in Trenton. She appeared on CBS’s hit reality TV Show “SURVIVOR: Panama — Exile Island” and emceed ESPN’s Stihl Timbersports Series for 15 years.
