SULLIVAN — The Maine State Police are investigating a crash involving a pickup truck that sideswiped two vehicles and went into a ditch on Route 1 late Wednesday morning.
“We believe alcohol was a factor,” said Trooper Einar Mattson.
Several 911 calls came in about the accident, which occurred over the course of a mile, Mattson said. The pickup truck sideswiped a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer.
Michael Soule, 66, of Sullivan was driving the pickup truck, Mattson said. Soule was transported to a local hospital, but no serious injuries were reported.
