Malcolm Svec, a 2019 graduate of Ellsworth High School, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine, earning a B.S. in financial economics. Svec will pursue his master’s in resource economics and policy at the University of Maine this fall.

Ben Osterlin of Ellsworth has been named to the spring 2022 dean’s list at Florida Institute of Technology.

To be included on the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade point average of at least 3.4.

Jordan Robichaud of Bucksport, Caroline Fernald of Holden, Derek Long of Blue Hill, Kessler Parrott of Blue Hill and Courtney Bianco of Brooklin have been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for the spring 2022 semester.

Students named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire are students who have enrolled in a full-time course load and have earned a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

Syra Gutow of Castine has been named to the dean’s list of Hamilton College for the spring 2022 semester.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.

Gutow, a rising junior majoring in women’s and gender studies, is a graduate of George Stevens Academy.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent has announced its dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.

“Congratulations to the students who have made the UMFK dean’s and academic recognition lists,” said UMFK’s President Deb Hedeen. “The dean’s list includes full-time students who have earned a 3.2 grade point average, while the academic recognition list acknowledges our part-time students who have also earned a 3.2 GPA.  These students have demonstrated a level of resilience and academic excellence during the pandemic. Their accomplishments are to be acknowledged and celebrated. We are incredibly proud to have these talented students as members of the UMFK community.”

Kateryna Bagrii of Ellsworth, Breanna Smith of Milbridge, Arielle Levesque of Otis, Meagan Eastman of Sullivan and Elaine Hutchins of Winter Harbor were named to the full-time dean’s list at UMFK. Receiving part-time academic recognition were Joni Hart of Eastbrook, Alicia Gutowski of Ellsworth, Julie Pelletier of Ellsworth, Stephanie Vikberg of Ellsworth, Summit Garland of Hancock, Jordan Finlay of Machiasport, Diane Foglizzo of Orland and Danielle LeDuc of Salsbury Cove.

Raiya Vikberg of Ellsworth has been named to the dean’s list at Gustavus Adolphus College for the spring semester.

The list comprises students who have earned a 3.7 grade point average or higher for the semester ending in May 2022.
