Erika Hipsky of Blue Hill recently was awarded a Study Abroad Grant worth $1,000 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Hipsky is one of 125 students nationwide to receive the award.

The grants are designed to support undergraduates, both members and nonmembers, from campuses that have Phi Kappa Phi chapters, as they seek expanded knowledge and experience in their academic fields by studying abroad.

Currently a junior majoring in psychology at the University of Maine, Hipsky will use the grant to study abroad at Bangor University in Bangor, Wales.

Ebony Hall of Lamoine, Lisa DaRosa of Cherryfield, Adrienne Beal of Trenton, Stephanie Turner of Deer Isle and Eyleen Astbury of Sedgwick were recently named to the Winter 2022 president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, N.H.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above are named to the president’s list.

Katherine Cox of Waltham recently graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Ga.

Kessler Parrott of Blue Hill recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H., earning a BA degree in psychology.

Alahna Mild of Bernard recently graduated from Lasell University in Newton, Mass. Undergraduate degree recipients were honored at an on-campus ceremony on May 14. Mild graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree.

Lillian Gray of Brooksville graduated from Curry College in Milton, Mass., on May 22. Gray was among the 661 graduates honored at the commencement celebration, which was held at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Mass.

Iris Benson-Sulzer of Surry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt., during commencement ceremonies in May.
