State police searching for driver who stole and crashed Jeep



ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police are looking for information about who may have stolen a green 2000 Jeep Cherokee from a Franklin residence and then crashed it Nov. 6.

The vehicle was taken from an Alder Brook Hill Road residence, police said.

“The vehicle was abandoned on the Eastbrook Road in Franklin at approximately 9:10 p.m. after going off the road and hitting a pole.”

Trooper Einar Mattson is investigating the incident. Mattson is also looking for information about who may have picked up the driver Sunday night in Franklin around 9:30 or 10.
