WINTER HARBOR — The newly renovated Rockefeller Hall — the crown jewel at Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Education Research Center (SERC) — was dedicated July 3.
The building concludes a major overhaul of the former U.S. Navy base, which was shuttered in 2002.
The hall, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, will serve as a welcome center with meeting and exhibit space and six National park-themed apartments for visiting scholars, artists and other VIPs.
