Sedgwick ups GSA tuition

SEDGWICK — Residents in a secret ballot referendum at the Sedgwick Town House Friday voted 85-33 to grant George Stevens Academy’s request for additional tuition funding, according to Town Clerk Cynthia Reilly.

Reilly said 118 votes were cast. Fifteen of those were absentee ballots.

GSA requested an additional $76,500 in tuition for the fiscal year 2022-23. That equals an additional $700 per Sedgwick student. The School Union 76 superintendent’s office estimates that Sedgwick will send 45 students to GSA next year.
