STONINGTON — Sara Gideon, the Democratic candidate in Maine for the U.S. Senate in the coming election, visited Stonington Thursday afternoon.
In a stop at the town fish pier, Gideon spoke with members of the fishing community. She also visited the Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries, where she spoke with Executive Director Paul Anderson and Chief Scientist Carla Guenther, and the Fifield Lobster Co. where she met with siblings Travis and Christina Fifield, the fourth, some say fifth, generation of their family to run the business located on Burnt Cove.
