Pedestrian struck, injured on Foster Street

ELLSWORTH — A pedestrian was injured after she was struck by a vehicle on Sept. 23.

Police said 31-year-old Megan B. Ryan of Ellsworth was walking north on a sidewalk along High Street around 2:10 p.m. when she started to cross Foster Street.

Robert R. Willette, 52, of Ellsworth was stopped on Foster Street waiting to pull out onto High Street in his 1999 Dodge pickup truck. He reportedly failed to see Ryan and struck her when he pulled forward.

Ryan suffered abrasions and bruises on her arms, according to a police report, but did not need to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
