The new baby weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and is 21 inches long.  When asked why they chose a hospital one hour and a half from their home, the proud parents were quick to share that Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and its Women Care team offer a gentle birthing experience and was recommended by friends.  They visited the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital website and decided on the Midwives of Maine Coast Women Care.  They were not disappointed with their choice as the whole experience including the wonderful nursing care in the hospital was worth the extra drive – plus Kelly had her own doctor right on board.
