Mariaville-Otis News of Neighbors

Put on your foot-stompin’ shoes. The What’s for Suppa? Food Pantry in Mariaville is hosting a benefit coffee house on Saturday April 18, at the Mariaville Grange Hall on Route 181 from 7 to 9 p.m. Guest artists include Hawk Henries, Nipmuk composer, flutist, storyteller and humorist, and Blonde Lemon Jefferson, blues and folk musician on acoustic guitar.

Cover charges are amazingly low at $5 for adults and $1 for children under 14. Free coffee, cider and doughnuts will be served, and pies will be for sale. Please help support the food pantry which serves several local towns and have yourself a special evening at the same time. Questions about the event can be directed to 537-3452.

Many thanks to all who contributed items to the eighth- grade annual fund-raiser auction, the proceeds of which help support the local Beech Hill scholarship fund and the upcoming eighth-grade class trip. Mr. Bradbury was the auctioneer and over $2,000 was raised.

Welcome to the Cave Hill School baseball players, who will be joining Beech Hill School players in a cooperative team effort this season.

Please call 537-2200 or e-mail [email protected] with your local civic or personal news.
