Maine State Police Log Week of Sept. 9

ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police are investigating a theft of firearms from a residence in Great Pond.

Trooper Josh Lander is the lead investigator in the case, which was reported Saturday.

More thefts

Trooper Einar Mattson is investigating a theft of two temporary rumble strips from a road construction site on Route 9 in Amherst, which was reported Friday. The strips are valued at $2,000 each.


Trooper Kim Sawyer arrested Richard Seeley, 19, of Calais on charges of aggravated driving to endanger and failure to stop after an incident in Calais Aug. 28. The U.S. Border Patrol, customs agents and Washington County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Greg Sawyer assisted.


Peter Mallock, 50, of Eastport was summoned on a charge of assault Friday.
