ELLSWORTH — A single-vehicle crash on the Bayside Road in Trenton Sunday led to charges for the occupants after the Maine State Police reportedly found 53 needles and a baggie of suspected drugs in the vehicle.
Trooper Travis Chapman arrested the operator, Franklin Avery, 30, of Hermon, on a charge of probation violation.
Chapman also arrested a passenger, Louis Lucas, 33, of Baileyville on a charge of possession of hypodermic apparatuses.
There is no word on how the crash occurred.
Trooper Dana Austin charged a Gouldsboro man after a crash on Route 1 in Gouldsboro Aug. 27.
Austin summoned Jordan Gross, 25, on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and operating after suspension. Trooper Gavin Endre assisted.
Trooper Caleb McGary arrested Brittawny Jordan, 30, of Dover-Foxcroft on a charge of disorderly conduct. Jordan allegedly had been loud and belligerent in a roadway in Lamoine Aug. 22. McGary gave the woman several warnings before arresting her, police said.
McGary summoned Jeffrey Long, 38, of Hancock on a charge of violating conditions of his release. McGary had conducted a bail check on Long on Aug. 22 and allegedly found dangerous weapons at his residence.
McGary summoned Nathan Burke, 38, of Bangor on a charge of violating conditions of his release Aug. 25. Police said Burke had alcohol and dangerous weapons in his possession, which is a violation of his bail agreement.
McGary summoned Christopher Coombs, 25, of Sullivan on a charge of operating without a license after a traffic stop in Hancock Aug. 28.
Reed summoned Elson Heanssler, 67, of Deer Isle on a charge of criminal mischief Saturday. Police said Heanssler used a forklift on a private way to move two vehicles to make space for a tractor-trailer truck to pass by.
Reed is investigating damage to a shack at the baseball fields in Blue Hill reported Saturday.
