Local Man Charged With Trafficking; Bust Tied to Ellsworth Man’s Arrest Last Week

ELLSWORTH — Commander Darrell Crandall of the State Department of Public Safety today (Friday) announced the arrest of Tyler R. Walker, 29, of Eddington and Blue Hill. MDEA agents arrested Tyler at his parents’ residence in Eddington Thursday and charged him with Class B, Unlawful Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Oxycodone).

Walker was taken to the Hancock County Jail where bail was set at $1,000. His initial appearance is scheduled for Sept. 18 in Hancock County Superior Court.

Crandall said Walker’s arrest is “directly tied” to the arrests of Julie Edwards, 47, and Patrick Jordan, 43, at an Ellsworth motel parking lot on June 20, 2012. Jordan, a prominent Ellsworth contractor, and Edwards were charged with unlawful trafficking in oxycodone.
