BAR HARBOR — In celebration of TV Turn Off Week, Mount Desert Island Hospital invites all children and parents to a special open house on Tuesday, April 21, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to get a first-hand look at what happens behind the scenes of your community hospital. Children may bring along their favorite stuffed animal “patient” and register at the hospital’s main entrance; visit the emergency department, physical and occupational therapy, laboratory, medical imaging, surgical services, engineering/maintenance, and more.
The local ambulance services will provide ambulance tours.
Attendees should feel free to ask questions in this relaxed atmosphere. Healthy snacks will be provided.
Pre-register by contacting Brenda Sprague in the public affairs department at 288-5082, extension 1198 or [email protected].
