Holiday open houses in Brooklin

BROOKLIN — Put down your phone and step away from the computer, two shops in Brooklin are making it easier for you to shop local by hosting holiday open houses on Thursday, Dec. 13.

Anne Dentino, the owner of Leaf & Anna and the children’s shop Sprout, and Blossom Kravitz of Brooklin Candy Co. will keep the shops open until 8 p.m. on the 13th. Refreshments will be served. There will be special sales.

The shops will be open daily through Dec. 24.

Locally made gifts, including Christmas stockings created by Marge Wilson of Brooklin, are available at Brooklin Candy Co. Handmade woolen mittens by Deborah Lothrop are in stock.

Shoppers can find a slew of home furnishings, books, ornaments, personal accessories and cashmere wraps at Leaf & Anna as well as children’s gifts and clothing at Sprout.

Both shops have gourmet goodies. Shoppers can pick up dinner to go on their way home from the Brooklin General Store or stop in at the Brooklin Inn for a bite.
