Training Toothless

“How to Train Your Dragon,” an animated adventure movie for children ages 10 and older, will be shown at 1 p.m. through Jan. 1. at The Grand in Ellsworth. In the highly praised movie, which costs only $1 per person, a kid named Hiccup becomes a conscientious objector for refusing to kill dragons. Hiccup’s dad, a swarthy Viking warrior, is embarrassed by his son’s lack of killer instinct. Hiccup fixes the dragon’s tail so it can fly again and go free. The human vs. dragon battles are intense and there is lots of talk of killing. The film is 98 minutes long and is sponsored by the city of Ellsworth.
