ELLSWORTH — Heart of Ellsworth will be presenting the next offering in its 2018 Community Conversations series.
“Tick Talk” will be held Wednesday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. at Flexit Cafe & Bakery, 192 Main St. in Ellsworth. The program is open to the public and is free of charge.
The presenter will be Griffin Dill, an integrated pest management professional with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. He coordinates the University of Maine’s Tick Identification Program and is currently working on a Ph.D. in tick ecology.
Dill will touch on how to recognize the different varieties of ticks found in Maine, understanding the life cycle of ticks, learning how ticks move about and ways to reduce your exposure to ticks.
