ELLSWORTH — The Make Tracks Walking Program is looking for walkers to join the fun and stay healthy through the winter months.
This free program is coordinated through Maine Coast Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Participants receive free pedometers and T-shirts.
Make Tracks is designed to give participants a place to walk with friends during the colder weather months. Participants are encouraged to count their steps and set goals with the use of the pedometer.
The program is for all ages and fitness levels.
The group meets in the lobby of the James Russell Wiggins Down East Family YMCA every Tuesday and Thursday to walk in the gym from 11 a.m. until noon. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, clean shoes. Drop-ins are welcome.
