Hospitals announce new VP of patient care June 22, 2018 on Health, News Kristin Cyr is the new vice-president of patient care at Maine Coast Memorial and Blue Hill Memorial hospitals.PHOTO COURTESY MAINE COAST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ELLSWORTH — Maine Coast Memorial Hospital (MCMH) and Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH) have appointed Kristin Cyr as the new senior nursing executive and vice president of patient care services. This position, formally the chief nursing officer, oversees and manages the nursing departments and patient care operations for the hospitals, maintains compliance with government and facility regulations and ensures alignment with the mission, vision and values of the two hospitals and Eastern Maine Health Care Systems (EMHS.) Cyr most recently served as the EMHS director of compliance, and had the opportunity to work with both hospitals in that role. Prior to joining the EMHS compliance team in 2014, Cyr worked for 13 years in various clinical and leadership roles at Eastern Maine Medical Center. John Ronan, president of MCMH and BHMH, said he is pleased to welcome Cyr to the leadership team. “I believe Kristin’s strong team-building and management experience, her in-depth compliance knowledge and her keen focus on quality, safety and patient experience will serve our hospitals well,” Ronan said. Cyr has already filled several key nursing positions throughout the organizations, building a strong and collaborative team to care for the patients of Hancock County.
