BLUE HILL — Peninsula Free Health Clinic, which provides care for people without health insurance will be open an additional day the third Thursday of each month beginning Jan. 17 from 3-6 p.m.
The additional hours are thanks to a new volunteer, Linda Napier, a family nurse practitioner.
Board member Marcia Schatz said Napier comes to the clinic with “an excellent and dedicated volunteer and provider background and may be able to allow the clinic to be open two more days a month in the future.”
The clinic will continue being open one Monday of each month from 3-6 p.m.
Check the clinic’s Facebook page (Peninsula Free Health) for the Monday date, news, changes/additions in open days and to make appointments.
However, appointments are not required and walk-ins are accepted.
Thanks to another new volunteer, Sam Eley, available for a brief time while on leave from a clinic in Africa, the clinic now has a handout for patients looking for the best prices for prescriptions.
